• Studio Quality 9.5 - The first disc in this collection is referred to as “Revamped” because it extracts the most robust and complete takes, fixes where need be, and assembles in a way that most closely resembles a coherent project. Purists may opt for the more conventional outtake compilations contained on discs 2 and 3, but therein lies the beauty of this collection. It presents a much more interesting picture of what was and what could have been…notwithstanding the official release of Paul Kantner’s album. • Audience 7.9 - A little more cluttered than the Copenhagen show, still this remaster reveals much more to the ear than anything that surfaced in the past. Another absolutely crucial tape recording that cements the bona fide legend that was Syd Barrett.
  • Audience 8.2 - As good as one could hope for, this recording being about as important and critical to the legend that is Pink Floyd as anything they did after Syd. Actually, everything is pretty clear here, and surprisingly you have Syd Barrett actually performing rather well at this gig. A MUST have.
  • Audience 8.7  - A somewhat slightly above average recording that thankfully remains very listenable and stable, there are some periods during the show where the tape improves maybe to an 8.8 but once your ears adjust and you settle in, at the end you will think it wasn’t bad at all. It is NOT muddy, in fact there’s very little tape hiss so this must emanate from a low gen tape or it has been worked on. When some songs go from quiet to loud (as they frequently do at a Pink Floyd concert), the tape machine seems to take a second to adjust, perhaps it has an automatic level adjuster, but despite those tiny momentary hiccups the tape is largely smooth sailing. Worth exploring! • Audience 8.7 - A loud, loud tape recording that gets right up to the bleeding edge of break up at full volume but thankfully does not go off the edge…too much! So, I have to say about this one, it’s terribly exciting because it has a super realistic feel where you can sense the size of the venue, the air of excitement in the crowd, pretty much all the hallmarks of an exceptional capture. It does get too loud in places, so be warned.

  • Audience 9.1 - A really fine recording and a great show this is! Some minor limitations present during very heavy passages where the equipment fails to maintain the clarity we get used to during most of this show – but it’s not a deal-breaker at all because the recording remains powerful without distorting which is critical to the success of the tapers’ efforts here. You might lose a touch of vocals and some clarity (a little bit) but that will not detract from the pleasure you will get from this show. • Audience 8.9 - A touch distant maybe, but otherwise this is a good, clear recording. You don't really see this one being reissued much, which is strange to me because it's a great show. • Audience 8.8 - Long admired for how clean and clear it is, even though it sounds like it originates from the middle of the hall. Echo is minimal, and atmosphere is plentiful with occasional taper chatter (not much). There’s a little bit of “static” in the recording, possibly because of high recording levels on the original master, but over the years this has been remastered and Equalized so that most artifacts are minimized.
  • Audience 9.3 - Another superb audience highly rated for not only the good clean capture but also for the show itself and the dynamics and effect it all has on the listener emotionally. It’s truly a time capsule, and the DVD is the icing on the cake. This set is now expanded to include the soundboard portion of the show. This is a must own!
  • Audience 8.8 - Two sources exist for this show, this being Source #1 and a good step up from the other source. This one sounds fuller, with a rich, deep bass response (at the expense maybe of the mid/high of guitar) and also seems maybe a touch closer to the stage, so less of the boominess which is not detracting at all here even though it is obviously a large stadium.

  • Audience 8.6 - This old tape has recently gotten a much needed facelift. It’s as if 40 years of grime were wiped away. That is how I compare this new remaster to the old tape I remember from like 1992. • Audience 9.5 - Recently re-mastered and never sounding better, this old tape is full of life. The sound is bold, and really the only things keeping it from being even higher on the ratings scale is just some minor dtuff. I sometimes hear tape slippage or squeal but it's barely noticeable and infrequent, and there are some other small issues that occasionally pop up but since the sound is so great you just don't even notice any flaws. I think this one belongs in your must have list.

  • Stuttgart 1970 Audience 9.1 - A sometimes startling tape in that in certain sections of the performance you could swear the effects are swirling right over your head. A clear (with a little hiss but not a bother) and highly enjoyable tape! Saarbrucken 1970 Audience 9.3 - A tape that has tremendous depth, really if you play it loud you can imagine you are there.
