• Audience 9.0 - Total vibe, it’s all captured marvelously in this priceless tape. Clean, close, balanced…which is great because this is one of those gigs you are glad someone taped. Get this one! • Soundboard and TV 9.3/8.8 - The first two discs are by and large excellent and clear but the last disc is more subdued, still soundboard but the source has aged more and the signal is less bright. Great to listen to, all three discs have a lot to offer. • Audience 8.8 - This show has an inviting, warm intimacy to it. A good mid range, pretty consistent.
  • Audience 8.8 - A great atmospheric recording – I think I have figured it out though – so people used to go to concerts and party, with the musician on stage performing just an excuse to be with hundreds of other pot smoking, over-hyped hippies. What I am trying to say is that the audience is a little too into it…in my opinion. Great show though. Last Dance 13. Yonder Stands The Sinner 14. New Mama (very end cut) 15. Southern Man 16. Cinnamon Girl 17. Alabama Length: 100:37 Notes: This is a very good to excellent sounding recording. This recording has been available for years now but this is the first time the master reels have ever been properly digitized. This show captures Neil Young and his backing band The Stray Gators touring in support of his Time Fades Away album. This is a good show but Neil is plagued with guitar problems and spends about a quarter of show tuning his guitar. Also of note David Crosby and Graham Nash join Neil onstage for Old Man.
  • Pro 9.0 - I believe this was Broadcast at the time, but either way it’s a great time capsule and a very early Crazy Horse gig. Everyone should check this out.
  • Soundboard 9.4 - Hard to find any faults with this one, it’s solid in every way. Love it!
  • Audience 7.2 - A little dreary sounding by the band. Reasonably clear, lacks some punch
  • Audience 7.3 - Kind of muddy at volume but the acoustic segments are sweet.
  • Audience 7.8 - Clear, a good tape for the time period. Some artifacts present but not too distracting. A good one to get.
  • Audience 9.5 - Just a slight touch better than the early show in that the guitars have more bite, and the vocals are slightly more pronounced. Simply a must, because you have not only a superb recording, but a great time in Neil’s illustrious career.   (Late show)
  • Audience 9.4 - Stunning in every way really, from the amazing clarity and resonance to the depth of sound low to high…not to mention the perfect amount of atmosphere and headroom. A MUST!     (Early Show)
