Audience 9.3 - Another superb audience highly rated for not only the good clean capture but also for the show itself and the dynamics and effect it all has on the listener emotionally. It’s truly a time capsule, and the DVD is the icing on the cake. This set is now expanded to include the soundboard portion of the show. This is a must own! -
Soundboard 9.7 - This is not just a good board tape – it’s a tape that has loads of atmosphere to go with the upbeat party vibe of the band. It’s simply amazing sounding. Audience 9.6 - Been looking for a great sounding 1981 show? Yeah, me too. Now, I am happy to say we have found it. This is as good as you would ever hope for, spacious and warm, with plenty of headroom to increase your volume, tone, whatever you want and it just gets better. Hasn’t left my player in a week. Audience 9.3 - It never ceases to amaze me that after all these years tapes like this still keep surfacing. This is really clear and bright, I am having a tough time finding things to complain about here. There’s plenty of headroom to flavor the sound to your liking, if you want to add more bass, yeah, this is just a perfect palate to do so. Anything you do will only make it even better because the core audio is uniquely suited for attenuating without negative consequence. Audience 8.6 - By all accounts, this is a real find! First, you get a rare tape that only recently has surfaced, and then it's from a poorly documented tour AND best of all it sounds pretty decent! It's just a great day to be a DLR era Van Halen collector.

Audience 9.7 - If you were previously unaware of this tape, get ready for a supersonic blast of low down and dirty twin guitar American Blues Rock and Roll like you won’t believe. I don’t know how it can much better than this, I mean, it’s like you’re sitting right in front of the stage. Audience 8.7 - It’s definitely rare to find unknown Allman Brothers recordings featuring Duane, and here we have one new to circulation. The sound quality is very good, it really is from the master (obvious when you hear how clean it is) and it sounds like it has been gently mastered for optimum fidelity. A great find! Excellent Soundboard recording of a highly regarded Texas rock group prominent in the mid '70's. They played an original, hybrid progressive, upbeat hard rock along with more Austin, Texas flavored "Tex-Mex" Southern infused rock and roll...like I said a hybrid style. Unfortunately it did not take hold anywhere outside of Austin, so it remained undiscovered but certainly in Texas the name is extremely well respected as it should be. Well worth discovering for yourself! -
Complex prog rock inspired by Genesis primarily but you will hear a lot of different things that might remind you of any of a dozen other bands. These guys were just playing music they loved and did not mind if it crossed genre too much. They began in Houston in 1970, the CD contains liner notes so you get more of their history. Very cool stuff! -
Audience 9.3 - Technically the sonic quality here is more likely an 8.9 but this tape gets a MAJOR boost because, quite simply, it’s one of the most incredible, insane, unbelievable things Deep Purple I have ever experienced. Throw away Made In Japan because this here, man, this here folks is pure fucking magic. I will leave it at that. Deep Purple Roundhouse Dagenham, UK 19 February 1972 1. Highway Star (9:19) 2. Audience 8.8 - A very good recording for the time period, and being a hole-in-the-wall venue in the great state of Texas I can imagine what those Texans must have thought about these leather-clad English hellhounds! Audience 8.6 - A surprise because the inclination is to assume this tape will suck – and it’s true it is not high-fidelity but it’s clear and decent and being one of those very few pre-1978 tapes I feel it is a must have for Priest fans. Rob sounds so confident it’s scary. Judas Priest The Greyhound Croydon, UK. May 1, 1977 1. Call For The Priest 2. Diamonds And Rust 3. Victim Of Changes 4. Raw Deal 5. Here Come The Tears 6.
