Santa Monica 1974 Audience 8.7 – A tape that takes a song to balance out and adjust but once it gets going is quite good. Some signs of age, but it has held up reasonably well and makes a nice addition to any collection. Be aware there is a tape situation during Dancing With The Moonlit Knight where the sound phases back and forth across the speakers, sounding as if the show was in quadraphonic, and the tape machine struggled but it lasts only a couple of minutes. Not a complete show, we only have 47 minutes but it’s better to have this than nothing at all.
Quebec City 1974 Audience 8.9 – A very clear and strong tape that does take a minute to settle in, with tapers carrying on occasionally but eventually chilling out…they don’t annoy too much thank goodness! The performance here is stellar, the audience very responsive. A memorable evening.
