Audience 8.5 – This is one very loud recording, and while it does not distort, it’s in need of an EQ job to tamper down some of the mid and upper mid to high band just to give it more listenability. As it is, it sounds very much like an early Iron Maiden tape…it just has that quality to it. There are very few live tapes of this outfit, so I take this with a lot of curiosity to hear what these guys were about and can forgive the fact that, while this tape falls below my own threshold of what I can tolerate more than once, it does live up to satisfying my curiosity. I find the band full of promise and potential, and I want to hear more, better quality live tapes but will start with listening to their LP release which I recently obtained.
