Studio Quality 9.6 – Make no mistake, as I once did, that just because this was the Stones entering the era of “disco” and experimentation, it is very much a bona fide Rolling Stones album and these sessions prove that they still jammed old school on every song. It’s an eye opener for me, when I hear the musicianship across a lot of songs I dismissed early on or never properly examined, I have new appreciation for the Emotional Rescue album and that period of the band.
