STEPPENWOLF – Portland, Maine 1970 (1CD)

Audience 8.6 – In contrast to the Finland show, this one doesn’t have the boominess but it is thinner sounding, however it is very clear and Kay is much more audible. Guitar, drums, and vocals very clear albeit thin. I found the bass to be lovely, round, very cool to hear such detail! This is NOT a muddy recording, and being 1970 that means you get the classic songs performed close to the records.
