STEVE MILLER BAND – Live In Concert 1970 (2CD)

$23.49

Fillmore East 1970 Soundboard 8.8 – Clear although not bristling with perfection is a very good early period SMB recording

Honolulu 1970 Soundboard 8.8 – A tape that needs one song to dial in the live mix but then gets much better. Still, it’s very good but not sparkling and bright…just good enough to rank pretty high in the category of the formative Steve Miller anthology of concert tapes.

San Rafael 1970 Soundboard 9.1 – This is a really nice recording that exemplifies why it is so cool to hear tapes of an artists’ earlier career works before they made it to the big time. This certainly shows the vulnerability and the possibility at the same time. An artist who is still not 100% convincing but clearly has the tool set necessary to advance…and advance he did!
