• Audience 7.0 - A noisy tape, hissy and in need of some kind of NR. That being said, if you like a massively loud sounding tape this is your choice.
  • Audience 7.8 -  Not bad as far as overall clarity but certainly lacking in depth and could really use a remastering which would help immensely. The sounds are there, there is some slight tape noise, but the music is all there and this show can be enjoyed…just add some boost in the lows and mids perhaps.

  • Audience  8.6 - Because it is primarily a keyboard dominated group, the audio rings out pretty clear to where you hear everything well. It is somewhat compressed though, with a low ceiling where the slightest bit of audio break-up is occurring (so do not crank this one up). It is a decent recording despite the limitations.
  • Audience  8.8 - Sparkling! There’s a really wonderful, intimate atmosphere permeating this recording, and I don’t mean “hall reverb” either. The warmth of the recording captures the warmth of the artist/audience experience. There’s a bit of chatter present but it’s all part of the deal. Get this one!
  • Audience  9.0 - Both Shows are 9.0 ... Simply gorgeous, lush, well balanced recordings made by people who obviously knew what they were doing. The only knock is maybe a little squishing in the middle during peak volume moments. I wish I could get my hands on any other tapes these guys made! Get this you won’t regret it.
  • Audience  7.6 - I wish this sounded better because it’s one of the few recordings capturing that rare moment when they are joined by the Zeppers. So, yeah, a little rough with the loudness and all, but important in a historical sense.
  • CD 1 - Brisbane - Audience  7.8  (a little bit flat maybe but it is clear enough you hear the whole band, still enjoyable nonetheless) CD 2 - Lancaster - Audience  8.6  (a great recording here)
  • Audience  8.5 - Nothing much to complain about here. A good and very “live” sounding tape. Gives you the atmosphere which, if done properly, adds much to the tape.
  • Audience  7.9 - Foot- stomping and LOUD recording! Bristles with energy, the tape can barely contain it but it does. Fun show!
  • Shotgun were a 1970s rock band from Dallas. The band consisted of Guy Houston on drums, Hugh Coleman on bass, John Michael Soria on lead guitar, Russ Skarsten on keyboards, and Billy Metcalf on lead vocals.  The band's 1976 album, recorded but never released, Dallasian Rock was remastered and reissued by ShroomAngel Records, in 2014. Reviewing the album for seaoftranquility.org, Pete Pardo awarded the album five stars and said: "This is incredible material that should have been huge back in the day, and the amazing thing is it still sounds fresh and exciting here in 2014. The ShroomAngel team have done a wonderful job on the remastering, so be prepared for a killer listening experience."
  • Audience  7.8 - Both shows roughly the same with enough differences to say one has qualities the other doesn’t have and vice versa. So whereas in one show you might get more definition on guitar, the other will have more vocal presence and a slightly better rhythm section. Take your pick, two vintage Atomic Rooster gigs hardly a losing proposition.
  • Audience  8.3-8.7 - What starts out sounding kind of boomy, slowly starts to turn into a very good and powerful recording as if the taper started on one side (bass) and moved to the middle…either that or the sound man finally got it right. Either way this will surely please!
